MoralStudiesClass -Lecturer who hates Gays.

It's been quite a while since I've updated this blog but since there are lots of things going around in my mind right now, I can't help but to pour it all out.

In Malaysia, it is compulsory for students to take Moral Studies as one of the subjects in their courses. Moral studies is the study of morals, philosophy and what not. At first, during the first week of moral studies, we got to choose our presentation topic and surprisingly there were two topics that caught my eye - Homosexuality (if we are for or against) and Gay Marriage (if we are for or against). Immediately  we picked "Homosexuality"

The few weeks before our presentation, I was stressed up and worried if the presentation will be a success or not. The lecturer kept on saying that "Homosexuality is wrong" even though he did not want to touch the topic in the first place!

Here is a picture just in case if you're bored.

Later on, during one of his classes, the air-conditioner broke down and it just so happen that I walked out of his class. During that period of time, my friends told me that he told the whole class that gays should be thrown onto an island. My friend defended for the gays and claimed that they are born that way but the lecturer made the most insulting remark ever, "So if I'm transsexual, I can be gay then~" with his perverted old voice while "acting" feminine (it's idiotic, not feminine the least since it offences women as well in my opinion).

I was outraged and it made me want to perfect my presentation even more! I have to thank a lot to my friend for helping me in my presentation as she made it successful, however, after our presentation was done... Our lecturer kept on defying us! He mentioned that "If you believe in God, you'll say that homosexuality is wrong! For no reason at all, he started to make hypothesis about the future of mankind if homosexuality was al-right!

During the presentation, I finally thought I voiced out to some people and caught their attention but because of his remarks, it just made things worse! Isn't a lecturer supposed to keep his ideas to himself at times like this? ESPECIALLY when it mentions "if we are for or against"?! His face was full of anger and stress during our presentation as well. I seriously don't care if he voiced his opinion but he's raising a generation of young minds here!

Not to mention that it did not only made our presentation seem horrible and wrong but he implemented some other ideas into everyone's minds -everyone might be gay in the future if we allow this culture! But the issue is, they say that gays can influence other people to become gay as well, but why can't straight people influence gays to become straight?! For all I know, I was raised in a heterosexual family, I have heterosexual friends, I'm practically surrounded by heterosexuals but I'm homosexual! I don't see his idea as a support for his statement at all!

A few weeks later during class,my friend came up with a question to hit the lecturer, "So what if a killer asked you where your child was and he wanted to kill your child?" The lecturer replied, "Then just tell him where your child is and pray for his safety." At first I thought he was joking but oh no, he was so damned serious, his face showed it all. While this happened in our class, in another class taught by another lecturer, she did not make any remark at all when the students agreed that homosexuality is al-right!

Anyways, this is what went on in our class for Moral Studies Class. It's a really stressful class for me, especially since I'm living in a country that believes that "non-religious people are immoral". I'm an atheist and I don't kill people, nor do I try to harm other people.

To conclude, I want to move out of this country asap as this has kept me awake for a lot of  nights now. P.S for some reason he likes to use homosexuals as an example, not bullying, nor genocide, nothing else.
